Ocean King is a seafood spot. Order on the go. It fast service you stand and wait for your food no seating. They have fresh seafood and vegetables. I always get their seafood broil soooo delicious. They prices are good to!

Great portion sizes for the price. I highly recommend their fried calamari and fried shrimp combo. Amazing!

I love coming here for catfish or whiting sandwiches. I never get too much because I am rarely that hungry when I am in the area. But anyhow ocean king had a full range of seafood options including lobster tails. One can get their own individual seafood boil at a reasonable price. There is also fresh raw seafood available Surprisingly one can also purchase linguine and veggies like corn and broccoli as well as the typical French fries as a side order. The staff is also very nice and patient with clients who want their food in a hurry Oh one of my favorite things about ocean king are the sauces and seasonings one can add to their food ie Cajun, old bay, lemon pepper and more

I think about this spot often. It's been so long and there literally aren't any spots near me that compare, and trust me I've tried finding one. Now let me say this, it is very much a hole in the wall but the seafood is fresh, pretty affordable and tasty. I don't have any pictures because it's been over 2 years but my go to was actually the catfish. A lot of people get the steamed seafood here but I personally take advantage of the fish fry options because it's hard to find reliable fish fry here while on the other hand, there are dozens of seafood boil places now. I get the fried catfish with white rice instead of fries and I also get a small order of steamed shrimp. You can choose which seasonings they use before cooking as well as afterwards. Don't come here looking for ambiance and don't expect to be in and out. They get very busy. Last time I was there they were still taking pick up orders but they might have changed that policy since COVID, not too sure.

So this fish market may not look like they serve good seafood but I was pleasantly surprised. My friends and I were craving steamed seafood and decided to visit New Ocean King Seafood. By the way the sign says Ocean King Seafood, its the same place!! The customer service was good, the staff was respectful, kind and answered all of out questions about the seasonings and pricing. I really like the fact that they offer curry, old bay, jerk, cajun and a Baltimore seasoning options for steamed food, I am excited to try the different flavors on my next visit. I ordered steamed cajun shrimp, tilapia, scallops, oysters, corn, cabbage and sweet potatoes with fresh garlic and butter. The seafood was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. They also have fried seafood options as well. If you're in Bedstuy and in the mood for a boil, check them out!

This fish market/seafood takeout should be called Tanya R.'s New Ocean King. I have phoned in so many orders for pick-up over the last 5 years, the staff knows my voice right away when I call. Me: Hiiii. N.O.K: Hi Honey. Steamed snow crabs and lobster tail with broccoli and okra. Vegetables crunchy. Extra O'Bay. See you in 30 minutes. Me: Thanks! Now that's a payday treat. When I'm dining on the cheap, large fried shrimps with sweet potato fries drowning in ketchup and tartar sauce are my go-to. The floors in New Ocean King are never sloshed and slippery with fish guts or ice water like in many seafood markets and there's never a fishy odor. One of my best experiences with N.O.K is ordering takeout on a day their card machine had crashed, making it a Cash Only situation. I didn't have any cash and instead of being directed to an ATM I was given an I.O.U in good faith for nearly fifty dollars in food. They waved me off and told me not to worry about payment because I'm such a great customer. I made sure to pay on my next visit to New Ocean King and it was greatly appreciated. There's a large menu of fried or steamed seafood dishes offered here. Do it yourself seasoning is no longer an option since the 2020 Panoramic and be ready for long waits. This is good food, not fast food. Customers are given buzzers when N.O.K. is super busy.
